Zora Volantes is forging herself a second skin in the so-called second skin Project. This project is ongoing and the central themes in the works of the artist. It is based on the concept that paper, textures, and colours can serve as a surrogate skin. By creating visually striking sculptures and performances, Zora Volantes aims to stimulate conversations about identity, diversity, and acceptance – asking for the own second skin that all may wear or would like to wear.

Second Skin aims to challenge social norms. The focus is on one's individual value in society and personal significance in relation to nature and the environment.
